Secondary Section Prospectus

Welcome

Secondary education is an incredibly exciting journey that prepares youngsters for the adult world and independence. By far the greatest gift that educational achievement gives us is the ability to choose what we want to do with our lives. If you achieve the right qualifications to follow the further education course that you want to follow, or attend the university of your choice or to do your dream career, people will find it very hard to stand in your way. If you do not make the best of your secondary education you may have to settle for second or even third best. As far as we are concerned at the Academy this is out of the question.

Our motto states that No Goal is Beyond Our Reach hence it is our firm belief that every single one of our students is capable of achieving success and realising their dreams. Success is impossible without hard work and dedication. We have high expectations of our students and expect them to be smartly dressed, polite and to be a credit to themselves, their family and to the Academy at all times.

Learning is most effective when it is fun so we look to provide our students with a stimulating and positive learning environment where the emphasis is placed upon enjoying learning and becoming an independent learner.

Most of all, we want to work in partnership with you, the parents, to ensure that our youngsters leave the Academy with the self-confidence, knowledge and skills they need to lead successful and fulfilled lives.

The improvement in results that we have seen both at KS3 and KS4 are very encouraging. The results achieved in English and Maths show clearly that the Academy is ensuring that students are achieving the basic skills that they need to be successful in the world of work.

We hope that you enjoy our prospectus. We are an independent state funded school serving the local population and there will be a heavy demand for places.

Please feel free to contact us with any enquiries that you may have.
