Academic Review Day
Letters have already been sent home about Academic Review Day on Wednesday 1 November 2006. Parents are invited to a meeting with their child’s class teacher to discuss their progress. This is a very important opportunity to see how your child is getting on at school. The school will be closed to children on this day. Children are required to accompany parents/carers to the appointment
School Photographer
The school photographer has now been rescheduled to visit on Tuesday 14 November 2006 so it does no coincide with Academic Review Day. Please amend this date on your calendars at home and ensure your child comes to school in their smartest uniform. Summer uniform should not be worn. We are still hoping to fulfill orders before Christmas but this is dependant on parents returning the proof promptly.
Primary School Admissions
If your child was born between 1 September 2002 and 31 August 2003 the time to apply for a Reception Class place commences Wednesday 1 November 2006 and closes on Wednesday 31 January 2007. Application forms will be available from the front office during this period. Parents must supply the school with a copy of their child’s birth certificate and a Council Tax bill or a Tenancy Agreement.
Family Learning Week
Thanks to everyone who participated in Family Learning Week. Once again this was a very popular event with everyone enjoying the many activities on offer. Staff worked very hard to make it such a success. Well done!
Dance Club

Dance Club will start on Tuesday 31 October 2006 (not Monday). Thank you.

Wrotham School Journey

We have had a wonderful response to this school journey with more than half of the year group paying their deposits. After half term parents will be receiving payment plan details to assist with budgeting for this trip. Please remember financial assistance may be sought from the Eardly Martin charity c/o Bexley Council tel: 020 8303 7777 x4274. Miss Polson has a few application forms and is happy to help parents complete them. We also intend to run fundraising events to help subsidise the trip.
Girls' Football
The Girl’s Football team went to Goals in Bexleyheath on Tuesday. They played 7-a-side football against 4 other schools. Although they did not triumph they did make a very brave attempt - especially as this was the first time they had played as a team! They all had a great time and Paige Downey scored a cracking goal. As a result she was chosen as Player of the Match by her team mates.
