Half Term Holiday
We break up at the normal time of 2.00pm on Friday 20 October. School starts again on Monday 30 October 2006. I hope everyone has an enjoyable break.
School Photographs
The school photographer will be visiting the school after the Half Term break on Wednesday 1 November 2006. Please put this date on your calendars at home and ensure your child comes to school in their smartest uniform. We have been assured that photographs ordered via the new proof system will be delivered in time for Christmas - which could make nice little presents!
Parking
This matter is a serious breach of Health and Safety standards. People continue to park inconsiderately and dangerously. Staff are constantly abused and the Academy will not tolerate this sort of behaviour. Car users must be reminded they do not have the right to park on the school grounds - this is a goodwill gesture which has been grossly abused. We have warned car users in the past that access could be denied completely if this situation continues to deteriorate. This would be a real shame for those people who always use the overflow car park sensibly. Now this matter is under consultation and we will inform you of the decision as soon as possible.
Breakfast Club

This service is available 7.30am-8.30am. For the small cost of 1 children receive a breakfast consisting of either fruit, cereal, toast and juice or water. They also have the chance to engage in play activities. Please note that children arriving late may not have time to have breakfast. This is because at 8.30am there is a cut off point for serving food. This is to enable staff to begin assembling children ready for going to class to register. Application forms are available from the front office.

Secondary Transfer
The deadline for returning these application forms to school is Wednesday 18 October 2006.

Wrotham School Journey

A last reminder that the 50 deposit needs to be in by Wednesday 18 October 2006. This is a wonderful opportunity for the Year 6 children to experience a residential trip and all the activities on offer. It is their last year in Primary school and we really want as many Year 6 children to participate. Although it may seem expensive it is a very worthwhile trip and we will be fundraising to try to bring down the cost. It could even be part of your child’s Christmas present! After all most people will always remember their Year 6 school journey but who remembers what they got for Christmas at the age of 11?
Home - School Agreements
There are still many of these agreements outstanding. Please pick up a spare copy from Reception and hand in before the Half Term break. Thank you.
